Cailey Murphy is a communications and government relations professional with more than a decade of experience in strategic communications and political affairs. As the Principal and Founder of NNW Communications, Cailey leads the firm’s project management and business development, working with various not-for-profit, private and public sector clients.
Prior starting NNW Communications, Cailey was the Managing Director, Western Canada, for a public affairs firm based in Toronto. Previously, Cailey was the Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Mining Association of British Columbia. She formerly held the communications portfolio at the British Columbia Hotel Association as the Director of Communications and Government Relations.
Cailey has additionally held various communications and stakeholder outreach positions with the Government of Canada and the BC Provincial Government. She has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Queen’s University and a Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University.
Content Director and Lead Storyteller
Marisa Chandler is a digital content specialist, developing and driving brand identity through digital storytelling. She leads content strategy at NNW Communications. As Content Director and Lead Storyteller at NNW Communications she develops original brand stories for each client and campaign, creating content designed to engage.
Marisa has specialised in digital content and communication over the last ten years, starting with print publications and private online media, and eventually widening her reach to include non-profit, provincial and federal government projects.
Marisa studied Journalism at Langara College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Classical Studies from the University of British Columbia.
Art Director and Lead Designer
Laura Kinder is a creative professional specializing in graphic design for marketing and communications, with a focus on branding and identity systems. She creates striking visual content destined for both print and web, and is equally comfortable crafting a bold large-scale image or a complex multipage document.
Laura has over twelve years of experience working in the industry, and knows how to work with teams large and small to take a project from initial spark to brilliant conclusion.
She is an accomplished illustrator, letterer and type designer. Past clients include UBC, Vancouver Magazine, AME BC, CTEM, Greystone Books, Tapestry Foundation for Providence Health Care, Douglas & McIntyre, Unilever, Mount St. Joseph Hospital, Women in Mining, Granville Island Brewing, BCPLSA, West Coast Mining Ltd., PDO Solutions, the Alzheimers Society of BC and the Mining Association of BC.
Laura has a degree in Communication Design from Emily Carr University, as well as a BA from Queen’s University and an MA from the University of Toronto.
Communications & Content Strategist
Ronnie (Veronique) Jones is a strategic communications consultant and content developer, specializing in the mineral exploration and mining industry. With 9 years experience, her work has spanned industry associations, non-profits, junior mining companies, and government-affiliated organizations. Her role at NNW Communications consists of content development and management and on-site digital marketing strategy.
Ronnie applies strategic, big-picture thinking to creative storytelling to engage audiences. Her passion is public outreach and education – in 2016, she became a founding partner at Below BC, a a non-profit, earth science education group, where she is now an active Board member. She also co-founded MORE THAN Explorers, a project using striking visuals to tell stories of the mineral exploration industry to the
urban population in BC.
Ronnie has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) from Simon Fraser University.
Megan Tse is a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University and the newest member of the NNW Communications team. Megan brings experience in social media content and engagement, internal communications, event coordination and administrative work to the team and currently supports both strategic communications and project management on the team.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Arts, and Technology, majoring in Communications with a minor in Digital Print and Publishing from Simon Fraser University. She completed her degree abroad at Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden.
Event Management Specialist
Jenny Ryu is an Events Planning and Management Specialist with over 15 years of experience in event planning, logistic coordination, vendor contracts, customer relations, and strategic planning, producing events for social and corporate clients. Through professionalism and grace, she has the ability to generate solutions in a high-pressure environment while managing key client, public and vendor relationships.
At NNW Communications Jenny leads conceptualization to execution of all events produced by our team, from handling the management of budgets and creative design to coordinating logistics, securing and negotiating vendor contracts and donations, and ensuring stakeholder stewardship and recognition benefits.
